Private hilltop estate in Hill Country hits auction block after years on market

The property at 215 Majestic Ridge in Comfort with more than 9 acres will sell for at least $1.2 million in the auction beginning Oct. 27. It was previously listed at $3.8 million.

"One of the first things that you notice as soon as you walk through the front door of the home is not only the meticulous construction, and just the elegance and the quality of construction that was utilized to build this, but just the incredible and impactful views that span for quite literally miles," said Scott Kirk, founder and CEO of Charlotte-based Interluxe, which is facilitating the auction. Donald Jones is the agent for the sale on behalf of Interluxe.

The 2008 custom-built Mediterranean villa has four bedrooms and six bathrooms with features such as a chef's kitchen, a theater room and a three-car garage. It will be fully furnished.

Outside of the home is an outdoor kitchen, an infinity-edge pool with a hot tub and a large covered patio.

Located in The Reserve at Falling Water gated community, the home is a 20-minute drive from Boerne and 35 minutes from The Rim in San Antonio.

Potential buyers and representatives are invited to visit the property Oct. 23 through Oct. 25. Brokers are fully protected, meaning they will be compensated even with the auction sale format.

"In this particular market, there are other properties of similar magnitude, although none I would claim that would be as unique as this," Kirk said. "This home is extremely special in terms of how it's been laid out, how it has been constructed."
