A sprawling luxury estate in Superior Township will be up for auction this month.
The Ann Arbor area Dogwood Manor, previously listed at $5.9 million, will be sold at or above $1.675 million in an online auction that begins Monday, June 24, according to an Interluxe press release.
The roughly 50-acre estate, at 8387 Ford Road, includes a private observatory with a rotating dome, a two-story library, a theater, a wine cellar, six heated and cooled garages and a separate carriage house connected via underground tunnel.
Prospective buyers can visit the property June 21 to June 23 ahead of the auction.
The four-bedroom, six-bathroom manor, inspired by Italian architect Andrea Palladio, took 10 years and 100 craftsmen to complete. The project cost $18 million, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“There are so many features that make this property truly unique,” said Scott Kirk, Interluxe President. “It has something for everyone, from astronomy aficionados to car collectors. And thanks to the acreage, the new owner could even add equestrian facilities by simply converting one of the existing outbuildings.”
